Round 1- Fantasy
Hmm.. fantasy. Well, when I think of fantasy I think of Robert E. Howards Conan the Barbarian (and I guess I'm not the only one.  And when I think of Conan I think of Frank Frazetta who usually has a few key elements to all his Conan based paintings. Now lets make a list and see what I covered. 1. Giant fucking snake- Check 2. Blood and rage- Check 3. Scantly clad female- Check 4. Damsel in distress (this time its Shado. XD)- Check 5. Ancient god thing- Check (that is whats in the back. its a mixture of Durga and Kali from Hinduism. I kinda had an idea of showing when the two goddesses are in transition from one to the other since they are actually the same energy called Devi.) So yeah, Conan-ish fantasy stuff. This took about 40 hours, lots of layers, and only 1 snake reference.  I originally sketched this and tried to keep it so I could mimic Cary Nords style, but alas, I took away my sketch and went all paint. Oh welll. Maybe next time if there is one. There are a few patterns and brushes I used here and once I go through to find out which ones I used exactly I'll give credit. I'm just too tired right now. Full view to see the details.  First off your lighting is Tight. The blue light from the god really helps change the vibe of the pic, where everything has a yellow/orange tin. Looks like you're also rocking the rule of thirds if you intended to or not. the snake and Axen have great movement together along with the cocked angle of the hall make this one of your most dynamic pics on here. Great job!
LOL Shado in bondage. lol  Y'know. I can't tell if I'm scared by Axen...or the thought that Shado looks barely clothed. @_@;

Heh, I kind of had that idea when setting up the composition. The three major points being Axen+Snake, Shado, Statue. But now it kinda looks like the fire is the 3rd... Oh well, I'm content with the flow.
I was going to add Del and Relik but I didn't know where to put them and I didn't want the picture to get too busy (Sorry Del!). But yeah...Shado bondage.  Thanks!

-- sex its just like masturbation... only better! Well it just wouldn't work if Axen was the one being saved for a Miss SDL event, now would it?
