GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ALL OF YOU HOLY JEEZ OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! And oh, the girl at the end doesn't die...those were tranquilizer (sp?) darts. She's just knocked out, not dead. Thanks for being concerned with her well being though! Well... its done.... its finally done... MY OVER 8 MONTH PROJECT IS FINALLY FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is my KIN animation (yes I changed the name of my series). You'll probably have to download it since DA still doesn't show flash correctly, and please do. I would love some comments and critiques on this since its taken me such a long time to finish. Now all I gotta do is see what it needs before I submit it to ARTimation, and get ahold of the Newgrounds guys so I can submit the huge file size. Regarding the file size and quality, the reason it looks the way it does is because during production my flash got split up into two halves, and the only way to bring them together was in premier and then bring the quicktime file back into flash and export it there as a swf. So that's why the quality isn't so great. I'm going to be posting the quicktime file on my Myspace page as well so if you wish to see the quicktime version (which is better quality) I'll post a link there when that happens. So until then, just download my huge ass file and enjoy over 8 months of sweat, blood, and tears! (Not to mention muscle cramps and anxiety attacks.) ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE Better links to view the animation! So please take the time to view what is possibly the best example of animation on dA! (Featured by ^Age2003) Comments
Its by far the best 2d animation I've seen from this school, seriously! I liked the added 3d ground plane, it adds more "gravity to the piece". The only thing that I didn't like was the music cut/fade in the end right at the explosion. THe ending of it was really cool and well done. But I think for a fast crowd pleaser/seat jurker show as artimation is, It might be better to do anticipation, fight seen, explosion, and quick end
instead of having a long end like that. With the ending on it now you do crave to see more, but I think that same craving is there at the explosion. ya know? Artimation pieces all tend to fall into the short and sweet category but this is too good that you may not have to worry about time constraints. I did time it and it should be okay with the intro (which was totally sweet) and the credits. But I think it would be better to trim down the ending. If there is no quick suprise in the end I think cutting it right after she blinks once on the ground, so you know that she is alive, would be better. and you shave off almost 15 seconds making the piece around a minute long (without credits and intro). Just some things to chew on but seriously I don't think you need to worry about not making it in, this is a super amazing feat for one person to tackle, especially in flash. Relax and take a breather, ya did an awesome job!!! Hows the response on New Grounds??? -- "I'm a people magnet when I wear your jacket. GOOD LUCK GETTING THIS!" Myspace: [link] Totally amazing Al, seriously all the work you put into this project is just astounding. It's so incredibly well put together too. I loved the intro.
Good luck with artimation, you should probably get busy writing your award acceptance speech -- More fun than a barrel of undead monkeys [link] |
